Synti App Hub
Synti App Hub is where you find the apps other people made, and get your own copy on your computer - with your own data, kept on your computer. This guide shows you how.
Get started
Synti App Hub is free: browsing, getting and using every app in it.
- Download Synti App Hub for your computer from its page on this site, and open it.
- Read the two short documents, and press “Agree and continue”.
- Connect your AI: sign in with Claude or ChatGPT. The apps you get use it for their assistants, so it is asked for once, here, and never again inside each app.
Find an app
Discover shows the featured apps and the newest ones. The categories in the sidebar narrow it down, and Search finds an app by its name or by what it is for.
Click an app to see its page: what it does, what is new in its latest version, what it keeps about you - and the computers it runs on.
Get your own copy
Getting an app asks you to sign in once, so the copy is known to be yours.
- On the app's page, press “Get”.
- Signing in the first time: type your email and press “Continue”. We email you a code - no password - and you type it in.
- The app installs. Then press “Open”.
Open and use it
An app opens in a window of its own, with its own icon, like any other app on your computer. “Installed” in the sidebar lists everything you got.
Your copy keeps its own data, on your computer only. Nobody else sees it - not the person who made the app, and not us. It works with no internet.
Every app has Ask AI and Settings at the top right. Ask AI opens its assistant, which can do anything the app's own buttons can.
Updates
When an app's maker publishes a new version, “Update” shows on its page and in Installed, and an open app tells you so itself, in its corner. One press installs it, and everything you had is kept.
Synti App Hub keeps itself up to date the same way: a card in the sidebar offers “Update Now”, or “Later”.
Rate it, and tell the maker
Open an app's Settings and choose About. Give it one to five stars, and write a note straight to the person who made it.
Rating needs you to be signed in, so every rating is one real person's. Writing a note does not.
What an app may do
An app reaches only what it was made to reach. When it needs your microphone, your camera or your own files, it asks you at that moment, and your computer asks with it.
Said no by mistake? Open the app's Settings and choose Access: it shows how each one stands, and for the microphone or the camera it tells you exactly where to turn it back on in your computer's settings. The only thing the App Hub notes, while you are signed in, is which days you opened an app you got from it - never what you did in it - so its maker can see how much it is used.
Plans
Everything above is free. Premium supports the App Hub as it grows, and it comes with Premium Creator. See it, and manage it, in Settings → Subscription.
When something goes wrong
“… didn't download whole”: nothing was changed on your computer. Try again in a moment.
“This app isn't available to you”: it was taken out, or shared only with certain people. If it was shared with you, sign in with the email it was sent to.
“There isn't enough space”: free some room on your computer, then press “Try again”.
